Welcome to Mekinatrader. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of mekinatrader.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Mekinatrader is

Mekinatrader is a car listings aggregator. We collect publicly available car-for-sale information from Telegram dealer channels and other public sources across Ethiopia, organize it into a searchable catalogue, and make it accessible through our website.

Our goal is to make car shopping in Ethiopia more transparent by surfacing prices, photos, and contact information that is already public, in a format that's easier to browse than scrolling through dozens of Telegram channels.

What Mekinatrader does NOT do

It's important to understand the limits of our role:

• We do not own or sell the cars listed. All listings come from third-party sellers.
• We do not verify listings. We do not inspect the vehicles, confirm seller identities, verify libre ownership, or validate prices.
• We do not process transactions. Any purchase you make from a seller listed on Mekinatrader is a direct transaction between you and that seller. We are not a party to it.
• We do not endorse any seller or listing. Inclusion in our catalogue is automatic, not a recommendation.
• We do not guarantee accuracy. Listing details (price, mileage, year, condition) are provided by sellers and may be incorrect, outdated, or fraudulent.

About prices shown

All prices displayed on Mekinatrader are seller asking prices — not transaction prices. Real sale prices in the Ethiopian market typically come in 5 to 15 percent below asking after negotiation.

Our price labels (such as "Great Price" or "Fair Price") compare a listing's asking price against similar cars in our catalogue. These labels are estimates for buyer guidance only — they do not constitute professional valuation advice and should not be used as the sole basis for a purchase decision.

Your responsibilities as a buyer

Buying a used car in Ethiopia carries inherent risks. You are solely responsible for protecting yourself during the buying process. We strongly recommend that you:

• Inspect the vehicle in person before paying any money.
• Verify the seller's identity and that the car's libre (ownership document) is in the seller's name and ready for transfer.
• Commission a pre-purchase mechanical inspection from a qualified independent mechanic.
• Verify the car has not been reported stolen or written off.
• Never send money or make full payment before completing the ownership transfer at a recognized vehicle registration office.
• Be wary of sellers who refuse in-person meetings, pressure you to act quickly, or ask for payment via untraceable methods.

Mekinatrader is not responsible for losses arising from transactions you enter into with sellers found through the Service.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree NOT to:

• Scrape, copy, or republish significant portions of our catalogue without written permission.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited messages, harass sellers, or commit fraud.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, disrupt the Service, or bypass security measures.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) on the Service except for legitimate search engine indexing.
• Use the Service in any way that violates Ethiopian law or the law of any other jurisdiction that applies to you.

Intellectual property

The Mekinatrader website design, brand, logo, and original written content (including landing-page descriptions and FAQs) are the property of Mekinatrader. Listing data (photos, prices, descriptions) is sourced from publicly posted seller content and remains the property of the original posters.

You may not copy, reproduce, or commercialize our website design, branding, or original written content without written permission.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mekinatrader and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or from transactions you enter into with third-party sellers found through the Service. This includes (without limitation) losses related to fraud, misrepresented vehicles, disputed ownership, defective cars, or seller non-performance.

You agree that you use the Service and act on listing information at your own risk.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available continuously, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any dispute arising from your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
